If some sort of a natural disaster ripped out my rug from beneath
I can't be certain if I'd spring into action or just keep watching TV
That's right, I've given up completely -
Still, it's fun to think of alternate endings
Once you've watched all of the scenes
And the deleted scenes
I don't need your commentary
Who's to blame for apathy en masse?
Do you know? I confess that I don't
And that's because I'm perfectly content
With melting into my couch
Which makes me sound like an ungrateful bastard
Given the life that I've got
I should be focusing on things that are worthwhile
Instead of things that are not
Oh well, I guess I'll start tomorrow
And that's the part where my best years fall behind me
Screaming, "if you don't, then no one will"
So I'd better take this load of shit I've got and get it together
Or make a change
Now I ask of you the same:
If some sort of a natural disaster
Ripped out your rug from beneath
Do you think that you would spring into action
Or just keep watching TV?
