We start to syncopate once I'm expected to carry your weight. Oh, what a way to collapse...Another habit that bends, but won't break - and if I "misbehave"? You fire shots about acting my age in vein. You wrought me out, I'm dumbfounded and explaining how I'll tread these waters standing proud and laughing loud in the face of doubt. A joker's loaded deck...I'm dealt a hand that's un-favored at best, but I wear my heart on my wager. I keep my mouth shut and roll with the game when suddenly, we connect. I pause for a breath, let the chemicals mix. I'm level-headed. It took a long time coming, but I think I finally see it now: Conclusion played me for a fool. It left me to question what I'd do without your spark to make me move. Without your doubt, what would I prove? There are chances I have missed. I have failed when I've tried my best, but all that second guessing is a second-rate stand against some brilliant act of nature where neither of us wins.
